Real Life: May 23-26: Memorial Day Edition

It's a holiday weekend! There is so much to do! Tonight I work late, and then I don't know what I'm doing, but I hear my boyfriend has super secret plans in store. On Saturday, I may go to the Joe-B-Que, I may get sucked into working, I may unpack stuff...the possibilities are endless! Come Sunday, I work again (it's African Arts Festival weekend in the park--you should check it out), and then I sally forth for an onion-flavored bbq.

Tonight: The Ping and I are staying in tonight; we're swamped with this, that and the other.

Saturday: Working during the day; something approximating a bachelor party at night.

Sunday: Working during the day; cousin's graduation party in the early evening; onion-lovers BBQ in the later evening.

Monday: Hopefully swimming during the day. Dinner with the family.

Adam, I'll have to get that CD from you another time.  

This weekend I'm recording.  ALL WEEKEND.  Monday, after sleeping in, I will be very excited about being out of the studio and ready for action, so someone let me know what's happening.

My mom is in town for the weekend, so we'll be busy entertaining her this weekend.  We will see everyone at the onion-que.

Assuming my husband isn't in the hospital with chili poisoning, I reckon we're down for a Happylife. Dave and the Prof. are outta town, so it sounds like it could be a small crowd. Anybody who IS going in the mood for anything in particular? EBL? Someplace outside? I'm sure nobody else in St. Louis is thinking the same thing...

Afterwards, top secret birthday plans. If your name's not Amanda, we can discuss it at dinner. If your name IS Amanda, try to keep your expectations reasonable. I mean, Tom Waits may have to perform by video, not in person due to his touring schedule.  

Otherwise: prepping for, hosting, then cleaning up and recovering from an OnionQ, maybe planting some tomatoes and basil, NOT planning for school. Did I mention that SKOOLS OUT 4 SUMMMER!!1! SKOOLZ OWT 4 EVA!1!
